Salomon Kamalodine is a Managing Director in B. Riley FBR’s TMT Investment Banking group. He joined the firm in 2004 as an equity analyst focused on technology special situations. Mr. Kamalodine specialized in complex investment opportunities spanning turnarounds, restructurings and distressed credits in a variety of technology subsectors. During his time in the equity research group, Mr. Kamalodine was a top-ranked analyst and was frequently quoted by leading financial publications, including The Wall Street Journal and Financial Times.
In 2008, Mr. Kamalodine transitioned to the firm’s investment banking group to open its Los Angeles office with Bryant Riley and John Ahn. In this capacity, Mr. Kamalodine also spearheaded the creation of the firm’s Issuer Advisory practice dedicated to providing capital markets advisory services to publicly traded issuers. Today Mr. Kamalodine is fully dedicated to providing M&A as well as debt and equity capital markets advisory services to the firm’s TMT clients. His areas of interest include intellectual property finance, networked audio/video applications, the wireless infrastructure, web services, semiconductors and industrial capital equipment. As a fervent proponent of improved access to public capital markets by middle market issuers, Mr. Kamalodine actively commented to the SEC on behalf of the firm in support of Title IV of the JOBS Act.
Mr. Kamalodine received a B.S. degree in Financial Economics from the University of Southern California and an M.B.A from the Wharton School
Larry Goldsmith is a Senior Managing Director in B. Riley FBR’s Investment Banking group, specializing in Real Estate. Larry joined the firm in July 2009 and has over 20 years of experience in real estate investment banking providing companies with advice on capital raising and M&A. Prior to joining B. Riley FBR, Larry was a Managing Director in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group at Banc of America Securities and held various positions with Montgomery Securities in the Lodging and Hospitality Group and Credit Suisse First Boston in their M&A Group. Larry graduated with high honors from the University of Texas in Austin in 1994 with a degree in Finance.
